VIDEO: Switching to home dialysis may not be profitable to in-center facilities
KANSAS CITY, Missouri — In this interview from the Annual Dialysis Conference, Eugene Lin, MD, MS, FASN, spoke about home dialysis policy and the profitability of switching from in-center dialysis.
“There is an increasing market for home dialysis expertise. For both dialysis facilities and for nephrologists, we really need to start thinking as a nephrology community how to respond to that incentive. And how do we create a market that is robust for patients so that they have the freedom to choose what type of dialysis modality they want,” Lin said.
