In the United States, breast cancer is the second most common cancer diagnosis and while it is most common among women, men are at risk as well.
In this video, Marisa C. Weiss, MD, chief medical officer and founder of Breastcancer.org and director of breast radiation oncology and director of breast health outreach at Lankenau Medical Center, discusses:
- The "full life view" that is her method for giving patients a perspective on the disease state of breast cancer and arming them with information to facilitate shared decision-making;
- How to help patients understand their diagnosis; and
- Giving patients the best treatment possible, meaning “the greatest benefits and the least side effects”.
