VIDEO: Vesicle study generates ‘hypothesis-generating’ data on renal cell carcinoma detection
In this video, Andrew Katims, MD, discussed data regarding detection of renal cell carcinoma presented at the American Urological Association Annual Meeting.
Katims, a Urologic Oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, highlighted a Mayo Clinic study that looked to “characterize a novel tumor-directed extracellular vesicle for the detection of clear cell renal cell carcinoma.”
“Although this was a small proof-of-concept study, I think it provides very exciting hypothesis-generating data into a potential new biomarker,” Katims said.
