In this video, Jessica Lenzo, MPH, BSN, RN, OCN, discussed how sharing standard operating procedures for the administration of investigational immune effector cell therapy is important.

In her presentation at Oncology Nursing Society Congress 2022, Lenzo, clinical practice lead for the Center for Human Phenomic Science unit at University of Pennsylvania, noted that Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) has established standards for cellular therapy, though the guidelines do not include cell product administration technique.

"We thought, we've been giving it this way all of this time and it works really well, but maybe other people give it differently," Lenzo said. In the presentation, she described how her team administers investigational immune effector cell therapy.

"It was good. It generated discussion on how other institutions [administer therapy]," Lenzo said.
