BOSTON – Christy S. Harris, PharmD, BCOP, FHOPA, discussed a presentation on the role of immunotherapy in upper gastrointestinal cancer and how it’s “trying to move the needle forward” in care.

The presentation was given at Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association Annual Meeting.

Harris, associate professor of pharmacy practice at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and a clinical pharmacy specialist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, also talked about a presentation on considerations when taking patients with chronic myeloid leukemia off of a tyrosine kinase inhibitor in this video interview with Healio.

“All of that was fascinating and really helpful for us in our everyday practice,” Harris said.
