In this video, Allyson Pishko, MD, MSCE, spoke with Healio about data from the ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition on COVID-19 and the safety of the vaccines in regard to the risk for deep vein thrombotic events.
“They showed, pretty convincingly, that these vaccines do not increase risk of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism,” said Pishko, assistant professor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
