VIDEO: NCCN panel discussion about COVID-19 impact on cancer care
In this video, Thomas K. Varghese Jr., MD, MS, spoke with Healio about takeaways from a keynote session at the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Virtual Annual Meeting that addressed cancer care during the pandemic.
The keynote was broken down into four sections and Varghese, interim executive medical director and chief value officer at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and head of the Section of General Thoracic Surgery, program director of the Integrated Thoracic Surgery Residency and Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship and professor in the department of surgery at the University of Utah, summarized important take away messages.
“The goal was to see if we could share some best practices across from across the country and look for those commonalities that we can then embark on, collaborating in the years ahead, to help address” he said.
