Stephanie L. Graff, MD, FACP, said the great advantage of efforts like Women in Oncology is that it provides an opportunity to connect with peers in the “proverbial physicians’ lounge.”
“Platforms where physicians are able to connect and discuss the challenges we’re facing and celebrate success stories, share ideas and help elevate one another’s voices ... are an important opportunity and a really great way for women at any point in their career to find role models and mentors and friends who will then be with them for the rest of their career,” Graff said.
