VIDEO: Physicians should take special considerations for metastatic renal cell carcinoma management

MIAMI  Saby George, MD, FACS, offered background in special considerations that should be taken when treating patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma at the International Kidney Cancer Symposium.

In particular, George, a professor of medicine at Roswell Park, addressed the following:

  • how physicians can incorporate radiotherapy into renal cell carcinoma management;
  • how to treat brain metastases;
  • how to deal with the psychological burden of metastatic renal cell carcinoma; and
  • how to treat older patients.
