Mohammed Milhem, MBBS, has been named deputy director for clinical research and clinical services at Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at University of Iowa.

Milhem will strive to enhance synergy between the clinical cancer care and clinical cancer research missions.

Milhem, a medical oncologist, holds the endowed Holden chair of experimental therapeutics at University of Iowa. His areas of clinical expertise are melanoma and sarcoma.

As deputy director, he will focus on mentoring clinical oncologists and clinical research faculty. He also will strive to build the cancer center’s early-phase clinical cancer research trial portfolio.
