Roman Petrov, MD, will join the Fox Chase Cancer Center faculty as assistant professor in the division of thoracic surgery.

Petrov also will serve as assistant professor of thoracic medicine and surgery at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.

“Dr. Petrov is a skilled surgeon who is widely published, and has presented original research at numerous scientific conferences,” Abbas El-Sayed Abbas, MD, MS, chief of the division of thoracic surgery at Fox Chase, said in a press release. “With this body of clinical and academic work, he is a perfect fit for Fox Chase.”

Petrov previously served as attending physician and chief of the department of thoracic surgery at Memorial Health System in Marietta, Ohio. His clinical interests include lung and esophageal cancers, benign foregut diseases, and chest wall tumors and deformities.

“I am excited to join the team at Fox Chase, and contribute to its excellent tradition of patient care,” Petrov said in the release.
