The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center honored nearly 50 faculty members during the institution’s third annual President’s Recognition for Faculty Excellence Awards ceremony.

Four faculty members received cash prizes and plaques in recognition of their extraordinary efforts to transform cancer care.

Gordon Mills, MD, PhD, chair of systems biology, received the Finneran Family Prize in Translational Research.

Ehab Hanna, MD, professor and vice chair of head and neck surgery, received the Jack and Beverly Randall Prize for Excellence in Cancer Treatment.

Eugene Koay, MD, PhD, assistant professor of radiation oncology, and Jeannelyn S. Estrella, MD, assistant professor of pathology, received the Shirley Stein Scientific Endowed Research Award.
