NEW YORK — Allen C. Halpern, MD, MsC, chief of dermatology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, discussed the current state of screening for melanoma and the importance of surveillance and early intervention for those already diagnosed at HemOnc Today Melanoma and Cutaneous Malignancies.

“We reviewed the current lack of recommendations for general public screening, with the interesting data coming out in Germany about public screening for melanoma. At a minimum, we should be doing intensive surveillance in the very high-risk population,” he told HemOnc Today.
