“I am extremely proud to take on this leadership position in the premier organization in the breast surgery field,” Attai said in a press release. “I hope to enhance the society’s educational efforts through the annual meeting as well as though digital outreach, including webinars and social media involving both physicians and patients. Another major focal point this year will be our patient website, which will be a unique resource geared towards building greater involvement of the community in breast health education and [society] activities.”

Attai, a member of the society since 2002, previously served as its secretary, treasurer, and chair of its finance and communication committees.
