Keith Flaherty, MD, has been appointed director of clinical research at Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center.

Flaherty succeeds Bruce Chabner, MD, who will assume the title of clinical director, emeritus.

Chabner will continue in his role as an Allen distinguished investigator, and he will continue to be involved with mentoring, grant development, global health and community outreach.

Flaherty will continue to lead the Henri and Belinda Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies, working with pharmaceutical partners to bring new agents to the center and spearhead research into promising new treatment options.
