Thomas J. Smith

The American Cancer Society named Thomas J. Smith, MD, the recipient of the 2015 Trish Green Quality of Life Award.

The award is intended to recognize a researcher who has accomplished outstanding work in the quest to improve the quality of life for patients with cancer and their families.

Smith is director of palliative medicine and professor of oncology at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
