Surgical oncologist joins cancer center

Ronald Matteotti, MD, FMH, a surgical oncologist who specializes in minimal surgical oncology and hepatobiliary surgery, joined Meridian Cancer Care.

Matteotti will help enhance the program’s minimally invasive surgical capabilities, including robotic approaches to colorectal, spleen, pancreatic and upper gastrointestinal surgeries.

Matteotti completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center; a residency in general surgery at University Hospital of Cleveland; a clinical fellowship at Boston Medical Center; and a research fellowship at the Minimal Invasive Surgery Center of the Mount Sinai Hospital of New York and Weill-Cornell College of Medicine.
