Two surgeons join cancer center

The surgical oncology department of the University of New Mexico Cancer Center recently announced the hire of two surgical oncologists.

Bridget Fahy, MD, received her fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and specializes in colorectal and complex pelvic cancer. She has board certification in palliative medicine.

Anna Voltura, MD, a graduate of the University of New Mexico Medical School, specializes in breast cancer. She has 16 years of surgical experience and 5 years of surgical oncology experience. Additionally, Voltura specializes in nipple-sparing mastectomy.

“It’s wonderful to have a team of people, colleagues that you can trust and work with,” Ashwani Rajput, MD, chief of the division of surgical oncology in the department of surgery at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, said in a press release.
