NEW YORK — Sanjiv S. Agarwala, MD, highlights the topics covered at the HemOnc Today Melanoma and Cutaneous Malignancies symposium including surgical treatments, therapy, metastatic disease and even non-melanoma cutaneous malignancies.
Sessions included discussions of immunotherapy with ipiluminab, anti-P1 antibodies, targeted therapy for patients with BRAF mutations, combination therapies of BRAF and a MEK inhibitor, immunotherapy with IL-2 and injectable therapies. Alongside a panel of renowned specialists with expertise in oncology, dermatology and cutaneous malignancies, Agarwala explains how new research and advances presented at the symposium can be applied to clinicians' patients and practice.
Agarwala adds that the trials and studies covered at the symposium will lead to more patient options to go through sequential treatments in order to fight the disease.
