Timothy Cripe
Timothy Cripe, MD, PhD, recently was appointed to the Cellular, Tissue and Gene Therapy Advisory Committee.
The committee provides guidance to the FDA about novel cellular, tissue and gene therapy therapeutics and devices. The panel also reviews applications that involve cellular therapies, such as embryonic stem cells.
Cripe is chief of hematology, oncology and bone marrow transplantation at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He previously served as medical co-director in clinical and translational research at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
His clinical interests include gene and viral therapies for solid tumors in children, including brain tumors, neuroblastoma, and bone and soft tissue sarcomas.
