  • Elevai Labs Inc. conducted a study evaluating the use of its topical exosome serum for hair loss and thinning.
  • Year-long results show the serum, in combination with scalp microneedling, helps hair restoration.

New results show that Elevai Labs’ exosome technology can successfully restore hair growth in combination with other hair treatments, the company announced in a press release.

In an ongoing study conducted by Elevai Labs Inc. in partnership with Carly Klein, president of the National Hair Loss Medical Aesthetics, researchers evaluated the application of topical Elevai exosomes, in clinic and at home, for the treatment of hair loss or hair thinning.

Patients in the study received in-office scalp microneedling followed by treatment with Elevai empower, the topical exosome serum designed for in-office use. After their appointment, patients applied Elevai enfinity, the at-home exosome formulation.

Within 12 months after the first treatment, results showed that the crown of the head was no longer inflamed and recovered hair exited the dormant phase.

“NHLMA’s findings provide the initial validation of our exosome technology on hair and scalp health,” Jordan R. Plews, PhD, CEO of Elevai Skincare Inc. “We are in the process of conducting a follow-on study with the combination of Elevai exosomes and Yuva’s Y100 mitochondrial technology to address common scalp and hair care concerns, such as the appearance of thinning hair, by promoting scalp and hair vitality.”

According to the release, this study is a precursor to the ongoing research that Elevai is conducted on its new hair and scalp care product line, which is powered by exosomes and mitochondrial technology to stimulate hair growth.
