In this Healio exclusive video, Raj Chovatiya, MD, PhD, discussed research into psoriasis from the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting, examining the LITE study in plaque-type psoriasis.

Chovatiya, clinical associate professor at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University and assistant clinical professor at George Washington University School of Health Sciences, discussed the study results that compared home light therapy as a first-line treatment for plaque-type psoriasis vs. in-office treatment.

“At-home phototherapy was noninferior to in-office phototherapy,” Chovatiya said. “Both practices were associated with pretty similar improvements in all the different outcomes we would expect to look at and consistent safety.”
