In this Healio exclusive video, Steven R. Feldman, MD, PhD, discussed psoriasis research from the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting examining the LITE study in plaque-type psoriasis.

Feldman, professor of dermatology, pathology and social sciences and health policy at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, discussed the study, which compared home light therapy as a first-line treatment for plaque-type psoriasis as opposed to in-office treatment.

“At this point, I think doctors, their incentive structure is sort of leaning towards giving people biologics rather than home phototherapy. But home phototherapy is something we ought to be considering,” Feldman said.
