KOAG LLC, a Minneapolis-based medical device firm, announced it received FDA clearance for its topical vascular closure system.

The system (Vascette HP) is a topical closure pad incorporating a plant-derived hemostatic foam to support rapid hemostasis following cardiac catheterization without direct compression over the arterial puncture site, according to a press release issued by the company.
