Video: Electronic health records could be ‘rapidly adopted’ in HF treatment
In this video, David E. Lanfear, MD, advanced HF specialist and program director of the Advanced Heart Failure Fellowship at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, spoke to Healio about a late-breaking trial presented at the American College of Cardiology Scientific Session.
Lanfear highlighted the PROMPT-HF study, which showed that electronic health records can cause significant improvement in patients with HF receiving the right medicines and doses in guideline-directed medical therapy.
“This could be a very rapidly adopted, very cheap intervention for our patients,” Lanfear said.
