In its 15th year, the Cardiometabolic Health Congress will be held from Oct. 21 to 24 as an entirely virtual event, according to a press release.
The Cardiometabolic Health Congress (CMHC) will feature updates across the cardiometabolic health care industry including the intersection of social determinants of health and cardiometabolic care.
The first day of the virtual event will begin with a pre-conference, titled “Impact of Ethnicity and Race in Cardiometabolic Health,” in which participants will discuss issues including counseling patients living in food deserts, combination medications in racially marginalized groups, navigating health care costs, culturally informed treatment strategies and more.
On Thursday, Oct. 22, Eugene Braunwald, MD, Distinguished Hersey Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, founding chair of the TIMI Study Group at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Cardiology Today Editorial Board Member, will present his keynote address, “Evolving Paradigms in Cardiovascular Research and Care: Reflections and Perspectives.” The remainder of the day will consist of the latest FDA updates, late-breaking trials and a session on hypertension, HF and the kidney.
Day 3 will be split into two sessions: one covering dyslipidemia, atherosclerosis and thrombosis, and the other providing expert perspective on diabetes updates and guidelines.
The final day of the virtual event will engage participants in analysis of the latest research in obesity and lifestyle management.
