ATLANTA — In this video exclusive, Laura L. Hayman, PhD, FN, FAAN, FAHA, professor in the department of nursing at the University of Massachusetts Boston College of Nursing and Health Sciences, discussed her presentation on primary and primordial prevention of CVD in children, with a strong emphasis on strategies to use in schools, at the FH Foundation’s FH Global Summit.

Comprehensive school health programs stressing the importance of family and community engagement and health services can serve as a great opportunity to identify children who have or at risk for familial hypercholesterolemia, she said.
