LAS VEGAS — In this video exclusive, Cardiology Today’s Intervention Editorial Board Member Sunil V. Rao, MD, FSCAI, FACC, interventional cardiologist and professor of medicine at Duke University Medical Center, discusses how the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions Scientific Sessions, for which he was program chair, had “something for everyone.”
Notably, Rao said, the meeting had an increase in live cases; more female, early-career and international faculty than in years past; the unveiling of a document defining the different stages of cardiogenic shock; and a keynote address by best-selling author Abraham Verghese, MD, MACP.
