MUNICH — In this video exclusive, Richard J. Kovacs, MD, FACC, Q.E. and Sally Russell Professor of Cardiology at Indiana University School of Medicine and clinical director of the Krannert Institute of Cardiology, discusses the importance of three studies presented at the European Society of Cardiology Congress: Canadian Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection Cohort, CAMELLIA-TIMI 61 and ATTR-ACT.

Kovacs, who is also vice president of the American College of Cardiology, said the CanSCAD study provided “more information than we’ve ever had before” on spontaneous coronary artery dissection. While the need remains to determine effective treatment strategies for spontaneous coronary artery dissection, “now we have a new and important database.”
