VIDEO: ASPC congress highlights ‘full spectrum’ of preventive cardiology
SANTA ANA PUEBLO, N.M. — In this video, Amit Khera, MD, MSc, FASPC, provides a look at the current state of preventive cardiology, from lipids to biology to nutrition and more.
“There is so much going on in the prevention space,” Khera, professor of medicine and director of the Preventive Cardiology Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center and current president of the ASPC, told Cardiology Today.
Khera highlights new guidelines, the importance of training the future crop of preventive cardiologists, strategies to implement science and other important topics in prevention. He provides insight on this year’s American Society for Preventive Cardiology Congress on CVD Prevention, which covers “all facets” of preventive cardiology.
