ORLANDO, Fla. — In this Cardiology Today video exclusive, Seth J. Baum, MD, FASPC, discusses barriers faced by health care professions for the prescription of PCSK9 inhibitors.

While barriers remain, Baum, chief medical officer of Excel Medical Clinical Trials, clinical affiliate professor of biomedical science at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and president of the American Society of Preventative Cardiology, highlights new resources that may help increase access to PCSK9 inhibitors, including the launch of a new app from the ASPC that was unveiled at the American College of Cardiology Scientific Session.
