VIDEO: ODYSSEY Outcomes presents new possibilities, challenges

ORLANDO, Fla. — In this Cardiology Today video exclusive, Christie M. Ballantyne, MD, professor of medicine, chief of the sections of cardiology and cardiovascular research and director of the Center for Cardiometabolic Disease Prevention at Baylor College of Medicine, discusses the practice-changing results of the ODYSSEY Outcomes study, the results of which were presented at the American College of Cardiology Scientific Session.

According to Ballantyne, while results lead to interesting options for care of patients with CHD and high LDL despite statin therapy, it is going to be a challenge for clinicians to decide on appropriate therapies for these patients.
