ORLANDO, Fla. — In this Cardiology Today video exclusive, Alfred Bove, MD, PhD, emeritus professor of medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University, discusses the need for further research in sports cardiology, including on early mortality and CVD risk among athletes, at the American College of Cardiology Scientific Session.

According to Bove, little is known about the CV risk factors for athletes, particularly after their careers have ended, and both physicians and patients need a deeper understanding of the issue.
