The Cardiovascular Research Foundation recently announced that Michael D. Ezekowitz, PhD, joined the organization as director of Atrial Fibrillation Research and Education, according to a press release.

Ezekowitz will develop major clinical research programs to improve outcomes for patients with AF. He will also lead educational efforts on AF for both physicians and the public. He will remain a professor of medicine at Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pa., and will continue to serve as an attending cardiologist at Lankenau Medical Center and Bryn Mawr and Paoli Hospitals.

“The addition of Dr. Ezekowitz’s extensive knowledge and expertise in the management of patients with AF will significantly add to the depth of CRF’s research capabilities,” Gregg W. Stone, MD, co-director of the Medical Research and Education Division at CRF, stated in the release.
