With a goal to expand medical education to health care professionals with an interest in CVD prevention and cardiometabolic disease management, the Cardiometabolic Health Congress recently announced the launch of a regional conference series in 2015, with events held in Atlanta, Dallas and Las Vegas.

The Best of the Cardiometabolic Health Congress regional conference series features three 1-day Saturday events with focused continuing medical education for busy clinicians in regional U.S. metropolitan areas, according to a press release. The first program in the series was held in Atlanta on March 28, the next is in Dallas on May 2 and the third is in Las Vegas on Aug. 15.

The series will include expert faculty from the annual Cardiometabolic Health Congress held in Boston in October each year. Health care professionals attending the series will receive updates on current, new and emerging therapies, treatment modalities, clinical guidelines and practical strategies to reduce cardiometabolic risk and improve patient clinical outcomes.

Featured sessions on the agendas include discussions of recent trials and CVD prevention guidelines; best practices for hypertriglyceridemia and mixed dyslipidemia; tips for managing difficult-to-treat hypertension; optimizing insulin regimens in type 2 diabetes; advances in therapeutic interventions for achieving and sustaining weight loss; and more.
