After more than 5 years of serving as CEO of the American College of Cardiology, Jack Lewin, MD, is leaving to pursue other opportunities and challenges.
Moving forward, Tom Arend, currently the ACC’s general counsel and chief operating officer, will serve as interim chief of staff officer, alongside the current team of senior vice presidents and hundreds of others who work for and serve the college. The board of trustees will begin the process of recruiting the next CEO to lead the ACC in its future endeavors, according to a press release.
