COPENHAGEN, Denmark — Neoadjuvant abemaciclib with or without anastrozole led to significantly greater reductions in tissue Ki67 after 2 weeks of treatment than anastrozole alone among postmenopausal women with hormone receptor–positive, HER-2–negative breast cancer, according to interim phase 2 study results presented at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress.

Incretin-based diabetes drug linked to increased risk for bile duct, gallbladder diseases

Among incretin-based drugs for managing type 2 diabetes mellitus, glucagon-like peptide 1 agonists are associated with an increased risk for bile duct and gallbladder disease, but are not associated with an increased risk for acute pancreatitis compared with other oral antidiabetic drugs, according to study results published in JAMA Internal Medicine.
