Ulipristal Acetate

In a study of approximately 386,000 women published in JAMA Network Open, almost half of those who took antidepressants before conception stopped treatment during pregnancy without substituting psychotherapy.

Ulipristal acetate followed by misoprostol was effective and acceptable for medication abortion up to 63 days’ gestation with no serious adverse events, but more studies are needed, data from a proof-of-concept study show.

Ulipristal acetate may be beneficial for treating premenstrual dysphoric disorder, according to results of a proof-of-concept randomized controlled trial published in American Journal of Psychiatry.
