Treatment-Resistant Schizophrenia

Two FDA committees overwhelmingly voted to strike down monitoring requirements under a Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy, or REMS, program for clozapine, a medication for individuals with treatment-resistant schizophrenia.

Evenamide, an investigational drug for treatment-resistant schizophrenia, was linked with “increasing, sustained and clinically significant” symptom improvements in a recent study, according to a manufacturer press release.
