BOSTON — Daily tapinarof cream 1% improved weekly itch outcomes and sleep in patients with atopic dermatitis and pruritus, according to an abstract presented at the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Annual Scientific Meeting.

Topical tapinarof cream showed significant improvement of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis while being well tolerated by adults and children down to age 2 years, according to two phase 3 clinical trials.

The FDA has accepted Dermavant Science’s supplemental new drug application for Vtama cream 1% for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in adults and children aged 2 years and older, the company announced in a press release.
