Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy

PHILADELPHIA — A genetic risk test for patients with multiple sclerosis can identify drugs that may lead to development of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy, per data presented at the American Neurological Association annual meeting.

Use of a genetic risk test for patients considering immunosuppressive therapies associated with development of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy may help reduce incidence of disease, researchers reported in Frontiers in Neurology.
