A resource on new developments in psoriasis in recognition of Psoriasis Action Month was the most popular story of the week at Healio Dermatology.

Based on the available literature, the American Academy of Dermatology and the National Psoriasis Foundation published joint guidelines on ultraviolet light-based therapies for the treatment of psoriasis.

There is a small but statistically significant increased risk for cancer in patients with psoriasis, which is mainly driven by lymphoma and nonmelanoma skin cancer, Megan H. Noe, MD, MPH, MSCE, of the department of dermatology at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, said in an interview with Healio Dermatology.
