Myalgic Encephalomyelitis

SEATTLE – Persistent vision changes were found to be a symptom of severe forms of long COVID and were associated with worse clinical manifestations, according to a poster presentation.

A recent NIH study of post-infectious myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome suggests that the condition is a “distinct entity,” with somatic and cognitive issues that are centrally mediated.

Most children experiencing myalgic encephalomyelitis, or chronic fatigue syndrome, are not diagnosed with the disease, according to research published in Child & Youth Care Forum.
