Autism spectrum disorder incidence was higher for children with prenatal exposure to antiseizure medications vs. the general population, but some associations weakened after adjusting for treatment indication, researchers reported.

The FDA has granted approval to Amring Pharmaceuticals Inc. for its generic lamotrigine ODT, according to a press release.

Researchers observed differences in survival between antiseizure medications in post-stroke epilepsy, with lamotrigine and levetiracetam appearing to be reasonable first-line treatment options, according to a study in JAMA Neurology.
