BOSTON — Continuous glucose monitoring has transformed the field of diabetes over the past 25 years. The technology can be used by both providers and people with diabetes to improve disease management, according to a speaker at ENDO 2024.

Adults with type 1 diabetes using insulin glargine had comparable continuous glucose monitoring metrics at 12 weeks as those who used insulin degludec, according to a presenter.

Adolescents and young adults with type 1 diabetes who used a next-generation hybrid closed-loop insulin delivery system saw improvements in HbA1c and time-in-range with no increase in hypoglycemia, study data show.
