Transgender youths discussed social concerns, facing hostility and being worried about losing access to care when interviewed about legislation prohibiting gender-affirming care, according to findings published in LGBT Health.

New survey results show that nearly half of cardiologists experienced a hostile work environment. More women than men reported hostility, including harassment and discrimination. It was the top story in cardiology last week.

According to an American College of Cardiology survey, 44% of cardiologists from around the world reported being in a hostile work environment.

Hostility may increase mortality risk in patients with ACS, although it may not affect the risk for recurrent ACS, researchers found.
