There may be a link between chronic kidney disease and the onset of migraines in Korean adults, according to data from a nationwide longitudinal follow-up study.

BOSTON — For centenarians hospitalized with stroke, outcomes after treatment were affected by presenting stroke severity and ambulatory status at discharge, according to a poster at the American Academy of Neurology annual meeting.

Researchers observed a U-shaped trend in age-adjusted mortality rates from neurological disorders from 1999 to 2017. The recent upward trend suggests these disorders are an “imminent threat to public health,” they wrote in JAMA Neurology.
