Cat-Transmitted Sporotrichosis

Candida auris remained a serious public health threat in the United States, and a cat-transmitted fungal infection made its way to the U.S. for the first time.

Health officials identified a cluster of cases of feline sporotrichosis, as well as zoonotic transmission between one of the infected cats and a veterinary technician at a clinic in Kansas.
