WASHINGTON — In this video, Ambreesh Chawla, MD, summarizes salient and practice-changing presentations in rheumatoid arthritis from ACR Convergence 2024.
“There were very important studies on rheumatoid arthritis presented at the American College of Rheumatology Convergence 2024 in Washington, D.C.,” Chawla, a rheumatologist at the Cleveland Clinic and assistant professor of medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, told Healio. “A couple of these studies tried to help answer, can we prevent the development of rheumatoid arthritis in high-risk individuals or those with pre-clinical RA?”
He highlighted findings from the APIPPRA, ARIAA and MIRACLE trials, which were included in a roundup presentation of important trials from the last year.
Chawla also discussed findings from the SAIL-RA trial.
