SAN DIEGO — In this video, Healio spoke with Jeffrey A. Sparks, MD, MMSc, results from a study conducted in India assessing the efficacy of treating rheumatoid arthritis with split-doses of methotrexate.

The findings were presented at ACR Convergence 2023.

“This is practice affirming,” said Sparks, associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and associate program director of the Rheumatology Fellowship, director of Immuno-Oncology and Autoimmunity and director of the Joint Biology Consortium Human Biosamples Core at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. “It really re-emphasizes that we should split the dose of methotrexate on the day that we give that each week.”
